VAGUS NERVE DECOMPRESSION

VAGUS NERVE DECOMPRESSION (VND)

The Vagus Nerve Decompression (VND) treatment is especially effective for correcting “tech neck” and other issues associated with poor postural habits from looking down at our devices or being drawn into our computer screens.

VAGUS NERVE DECOMPRESSION (VND)

The VND treatment releases the pressure on the vagus nerve, allowing it to function optimally. This can activate your parasympathetic nervous system, which can have a cascading effect on various bodily systems, promoting relaxation, improving digestion, and increasing overall well-being.

The VND treatment is a technique that alleviates pressure on the nerves and blood vessels that pass through the area where the skull meets the spine. This protocol aims to correct dysfunction in the upper cervical spine, particularly between the atlas (C1 vertebra) and the occipital bone at the base of the skull. By gently relieving congestion is this area, we seek to restore proper motion, improve function of the vagus nerve, and increase blood flow to the brain.

The vagus nerve is the longest cranial nerve in the body and plays a crucial role in regulating many bodily functions, including heart rate, digestion, and immune response. When movement in the atlas and occipital bone are restricted, this can impinge upon the vagus nerve, which over stimulates the sympathetic nervous system, and can lead to symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, and anxiety.

The treatment protocol is designed for maximum affect to activate your parasympathetic nervous system, and increase your overall sense of relaxation and well-being. It also includes light abdominal work. The cost is $95 for one 30 minute session.
